Commissioned by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), this collection of illustrations was created to advocate for the removal of dams along the Salmon River. My mixed-media collages highlight the essential relationships among orcas, salmon, rivers, forests, and communities that depend on healthy ecosystems—reminding us how restoring balance in nature restores balance in ourselves.
Living in a rural agricultural community, I’m continually inspired by the ways our food connects us—to the land, to each other, and to the larger cycles of life. These works explore farming, foraging, and the shared rituals that root us in place and nourish both body and spirit.
These images celebrate the beauty, energy, and spirit of the Columbia River Gorge, my home. Through mixed-media illustrations, I capture its landscapes, outdoor activities, vibrant communities, and the moments that make this place alive with heart and connection. Each piece is a love letter to the Gorge and the life it sustains.
